Episode 36: Over the Weekend

So this past weekend was HIN Anaheim.  Not really much to say since I spent most of my time zoned out because of the long day. What I mostly remember was staying up till 3AM to get the poles unloaded at Mike’s shop. Also I remember waiting forever to take a piss. Damn you long lines! Anyways, here are some pictures of the teams set up. Thanks to Jonjon for the pictures.

Episode 35: Comeback Special

Has it really been this long since I last updated? Time for a comback special.

I figured I should start blogging again because I’m getting bored with my routine. I haven’t done much since the new year except get drunk and high a few times. I finally went to the bar last tuesday because my buddy Ali was the dj there. Usually I would probably be at home watching dvds cause I’m saving money at the moment.

I’ve pretty much stopped playing magic and sold most of the cards I own. The game right now just isn’t that fun for me. Standard has pretty much the same top decks for about the last year. I’m holding on to some of the cards just in case I get the itch to play again.

Me and the guys went up to San Francisco early Febuary for Wek-Fest; we ended up getting 2nd place best team. It was a pretty crazy drive up there. The cars were driving in the storm and hydroplaning on straightaways. Once we got there, some of them started bitching about the hotel rooms lol. It was all good at the end. Walked around Fisherman’s Wharf and got to eat some clam chower. We’re heading back up to norcal in April for San Mateo.

Street Fighter IV came out since the last update. Man is that game good. Getting the game was a bitch. Fuck GameStop and their piece of shit workers. First, when I went to go pick up my stick, it was delayed for two days. What really got me pissed off was them trying to pull a switch move on me. They called me up on sunday, not those usual automated calls, but from the actual store telling me I can come in to pick up my collector’s copy on the 17th after 5pm. When I get there, I’m told that they are sold out and that the official release date is the 18th. They had some copies of the regular version still so I picked that up instead. I pulled all my reserves and told them they can fuck themselves. I am never going to buy from them again.

That’s it for now. I’ll be hopefully updating it more often now.

Episode 34: 2008

So I haven’t updated in awhile. Mostly because I wanted to update you with pictures of my trip to New York. I haven’t receive the pictures from Aaron yet, so I’ll do that after I get them.

Today is the day before the new year. It seemed to go by so fast. I traveled a lot this year, which was good, since I never really go out anywhere except for vegas. Started watching a bunch of tv shows to kill some time. Some plans didn’t work out so well, like moving out which hopefully I’ll do in 09. Even with all this, I don’t think I’ve changed much. I think there are only two things that changed and one of them is my hair. I’m trying to grow it out and so far it’s looking good. The second thing is that I’ve started to become impatient with people. It’s a bad habit that I want to change soon.

I’m at work and it is about 10 in the morning. I can’t really think of anything else to say. I’ll probably update this again when I get the pictures or after my birthday. Who knows.

Episode 33: In Remembrance #10

So yea, it’s actually kinda hard to do this everyday this month, so I’m just going to updated it when I can think of something. So here it is.

In Remembrance #10: From the Future! Dragonball the Movie (2009)

Watch this video.

Wow. You know this movie is going to die once it gets released. The movie is not even close to the original storyline. All they wanted was the name to grab peoples attention. That’s going to fail. Just like Speed Racer. Wow. For a movie based on an anime with fast pace fighting, they have a lot of slow motion matrix type shit. Piccolo looks like this guy.

I’m going to predict that this movie is going to make about 30mil. They should of just renamed the movie and characters and it would of probably made more than what it is going to make. Sad.

Episode #32: In Remembrance #9

In Remembrance #9: Heath Ledger (4/4/1979 – 1/22/2008)

Why So Serious? Y SO SRS? I thought I put this up today because the movie came out on dvd. The man was a pretty good actor. I enjoyed Batman and Ten Things I Hate About You. I don’t think I need to put up anything else because a lot of people already knows what happened. Mary Kate Olsen killed him.

Episode 31: In Remembrance #8!

In Remembrance #8: 2008 NBA Coaching Jobs So Far (10/28/2008 – 12/8/2008)

Eddie Jordan is the former coach of the Washington Wizards (6/19/2009 – 11/24/2008)  aka the new New York Knicks, had a record of 196-214 in the regular season during his tenure. The record may look bad, but was only inflated by a 25-57 record during his first year. He led the team to four consecutive playoffs with a 1-4 series record. I do not care about this man. He coach the Wizards, a team that is going to be filling up with overpaid sucky ass players. He also coach a motherfucker named DeShawn Stevenson. That guy is a bitch. Here is a video to prove it.

Peter J. (P.J.) Carlesimo is the former coach of the Seattle Supersonics/Oklahoma City Thunder (7/5/2007 – 11-22-2008). Before he was fired, he had a record of 21-74 in short career he had. The man looks like a cross between Norm Abrams and Phil Jackson (a better coach). By the looks of his face alone, I can tell why Latrell Sprewell choked him out. He will probably end back up working for Gregg Popovich. Here is a picture.

Sam Mitchell was the former coach of the Toronto Raptors (4/18/2004? – 12/3/2008). He has a regular season record of 150-182 and two playoff appearances. I do not know much of this man because of the fact that he worked in Canada. There are only a couple of things that came out of Canada which were very good. Bret “Hitman” Hart, Pamela Anderson, and mounties come to mind. I read he was Coach of the Year once. I wanted to put up a video of him not paying attention to Jason Kapono sinking 25 3-Point shots in a row, but I can’t seem to find the video anymore. Someone post it up if you can find it.

Randy Wittman is the former coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves (1/23/2007 – 12/8/2008). He has a record of 38-105 with the team. This is another man I do not care for. He wasted the talent of the champion of champions, Mark Madsen. As in a previous post I wrote about Mark Madsen, if he would of started him, he would still have a job and the Timberwolves would be in the playoffs.  That is all I can say for right now. Hopefully Kevin McHale realizes that Mark Madsen = Rings.

So far that is all the teams that have fired coaches this year. I think there might be one or two more (Reggie “Hang Time’ Theus, Maurice Cheeks) getting the axe before this year is over. If that happens I will put them up here also.

Episode 30: In Remembrance #6

In Remembrance #6: Sunday 12/7/2008

I ended up watching The Office season 2-3. It’s not a bad show. I’ll put a real one up tomorrow.

Episode 29: In Remembrance #6

In Remembrance #6: Issac Hayes (8/20/1942 – 8/10/2008)
Just like it happened, Issac Hayes pasted on a day after Bernie Mac. The man who did the theme song for Shaft, which he won an academy award for best song, was also the voice of beloved character Chef in South Park. Not much I can say about him except I liked the Shaft song and the song about chocolate balls in South Park.

I do know they he left South Park because they made jokes about Scientology. The creators said he was brainwashed because they have been making jokes about other religions and he said nothing. That tells me two things. He was either killed by scientoloigst or the curse of Soul Men. I heard Morgan Freeman was suppose to play the part that Samuel L. Jackson played. He almost died in a car crash. Anyways here is two videos in memory of him.

Episode 28: In Remembrance #5

In Remembrance #5: Bernie Mac (10/5/1957 – 8/9/2008)

The first thing I remember about Bernard Jeffery MaCullough aka Bernie Mac is the policeman scene in Don’t Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood. Here’s the clip

I have enjoyed the other films he has been in also. Playing the horny uncle in House Party and the christian pimp in Booty Call was great. It was good to see him have a big role in Ocean’s Eleven and Thirteen.  I don’t count Ocean’s Twelve because almost the whole movie you just see him sit in a jail cell waiting to get busted out. Plus Ocean’s Twelve sucked. Him being an asshole in Bad Santa was also great.

The Bernie Mac Show gave him a big stage to show everybody who he was. I really only followed the first three seasons of it. Couldn’t really pay attention to the show after they changed the time slot. Moving it to fridays totally killed the show.

Bernie Mac was always a funny guy to me. Sad to see him go at only 50 years old.

In My World

So I was looking around youtube and I found this new song by James Morrison ft. Nelly Furtado. It’s called Broken Strings. Kinda catchy, here’s a video of it.

I have to start packing soon. Leaving to New York in 12 days. I can’t wait to see everything there. I need to get some new clothes because I am not sure how cold it will be over there. Knicks vs Bucks Dec 19th. Try to look for me and the guys on TV.

That’s about it for me. In Remembrance continues tomorrow and hopefully Sunday if I remember to update it.

Episode 27: In Remembrance #4

In Remembrance #4: OJ Simpson’s Freedom (7/9/1947 – 12/4/2008)

On Friday, December 4th, 2008 Orenthal James Simpson will be heading to jail for six years to natural death on arm robbery and kidnapping charges. Honestly, I disliked OJ Simpson because of the double murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman in 1997. Sure he was popular from football and was the first player to reach 2000 yards rushing in one season, but I was fucking eleven then the trial started. It took up the tv all day and I couldn’t watch my cartoons. Most of what I remember during that time was coming home after school and hoping that channel 5 and 11 didn’t have the trial on. Cartoon Network had some shitty shows on during 3-6 back then so I couldn’t watch that. Now Oranthal James Simpson will most likely live out his life in a jail cell and I can enjoy my television again. Also if you are wondering, yes I do think he did it. Motherfuck made a book about how he would kill her “IF HE DID”.
